Kevin R. Stevens
Executive DirectorKevin R. Stevens is the Executive Director of Procurement Services for The University of Alabama. In this role, he is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Payable, Contract Management, Furnishings and Design, Purchasing, Purchasing Card Services, and Contract Administration departments.
Mr. Stevens has spent over thirty years in the fields of accounts payable, purchasing, property, and construction during his career with the University of Kentucky, Delta State University, Mississippi State University, and the University of MS Medical Center. Kevin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration at Mississippi State University.
He is actively involved in the National Association of Educational Procurement regionally and nationally.
Jason Jeffreys
Associate DirectorJason Jeffreys is the Senior Associate Director of Procurement Services for The University of Alabama. In this role, he directs the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Payable, Contract Management, Training, Purchasing, and Purchasing Card Services departments.
Prior to joining the University of Alabama, Jason worked in project management and business development within the industrial manufacturing industry, which sparked his interest in procurement through materials purchasing, supply chain management, and bid proposal development. His first role at the University began in 2014 in Contract Administration, another area of Procurement Services. In August of 2016, he became Purchasing Director and held that position until moving into his current role in July of 2023. Jason earned a bachelor’s degree in Commerce Business Administration from The University of Alabama.
Jason is a National Association of Educational Procurement member with regional and national participation.
Dan Rodgers
DirectorDan Rodgers has been Director of Construction Contracts and Compliance since 2015. He and his staff are responsible for state and federal compliance in the bidding and awarding of public works contracts as well as contracts for architects, engineers, and other construction professionals. Dan previously served in various roles within the department since 2007.
Prior to joining this department, Dan was in private law practice for eight years in Montgomery and Birmingham. He earned a degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1999 and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar later that year. He received his undergraduate degree in journalism from UA in 1996.
Julie Love
DirectorJulie is the Director of Contract Management. Her primary responsibilities are the facilitation, review, negotiation, and execution of University contracts and the supervision of staff members in her department. Additionally, she works with committees, task forces, and focus groups on campus and makes recommendations for new business processes geared toward maximum efficiency for the contracting process based on the information gathered.
Before joining UA in 2019, she spent 20 years as a civil litigator, licensed in Alabama and Mississippi. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and English here at the Capstone. In 1999, she obtained her Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law, and in 2001, she returned to make Tuscaloosa her permanent home.
Brittany Reynolds
DirectorBrittany Reynolds is the Director of Accounts Payable and is responsible for overseeing the P-Card Services, Travel & Invoice, and Vendor Verification departments. Prior to joining Accounts Payable, Brittany spent 13 years in P-Card Services, serving as the P-Card Coordinator, Associate Manager, and Director. Brittany earned both her Master of Accountancy and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Culverhouse College of Business at The University of Alabama.
Brittany is an active member of the Higher Education Advisory Team for the Institute of Commercial Payments.
Andrea Tyner
DirectorAndrea Tyner currently serves as the Purchasing Director for the University of Alabama. She joined The University of Alabama family in 2020. She previously served as a Contract Specialist in Construction Contracts & Compliance. Prior to that, she was an attorney in private practice, earning her J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2016. Before attending law school, Andrea graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in Finance in 2013. As Purchasing Director, she helps provide guidance, establish policies, and monitor the procurement of goods and services to be sure the University is complying with State of Alabama Bid Laws and UA System Board Rules.
She enjoys working with a diligent, accomplished team that constantly assists in her growth and provides encouragement and guidance. One of the most fulfilling aspects of her job is working with stakeholders across campus to reach their goals and needs.
Heather Hubbard
Procurement Communication Technology and Training SpecialistHeather Hubbard is the Procurement Communication Technology and Training Specialist and is responsible for overseeing all online and instructor-led training, managing all nine websites, and assisting the department with any campus communications.
Heather has worked at UA for ten years. She has served as a HR Assistant, Compensation and Classification Specialist, eLearning Coordinator, and now the Procurement Communication Technology and Training Specialist. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration with a focus on Management from the Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama and a Master of Science in Interactive Technology from the College of Human Environmental Sciences at The University of Alabama.
Heather is a member of the Compliance Committee, Technology and Learning Committee, and Campus Communicators Committee on the University of Alabama campus.
